Our client is a gaming start-up from Bucharest focused on original mobile games.

Role

The Senior Game Developer will be actively involved in the creation of games with a global audience and you will be part of an outstanding group of people that includes some of the most experienced people in Romania’s gaming industry.
This role is for someone who has solid computer science knowledge, experience with game engines and technologies and a passion for making games. On-the-job experience with Unity is important but not mandatory, as there are valued technical excellence, continuous self-learning, autonomy, good collaboration and communication skills more than experience with specific tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

Define the architecture and implement in Unity/C# various game features in accordance with the game design
Collaborate with game designers, artists and other game developers to define the best technical architecture for each feature
Work with backend developers to define APIs for various features
Participate with your own ideas and feedback in shaping up the game experience

Requirements

3+ years experience in game development, with a proven track record of shipping games using either Unity or various C++ engines
7+ years experience developing production ready software
In depth knowledge of C++ or C#
Good software architecture and design skills
Familiarity with Unity, either from on-the-job experience or from personal projects
Strong knowledge of programming fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, design patterns, OOP, etc)

Nice to have

Job experience with Unity, including launched games
Strong C++ knowledge
Experience working on live mobile games
Personal gaming projects

Personal traits

Mature, self driven, capable of implementing large features with minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills
Continuous learner
Passion for games
