Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Reviewing all accounting documents and their compliance with local GAAP
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS in SAP
- Preparing Cognos reporting set
- Managing general ledger entries, reconciliations, and closing activities
- Performing bank account reconciliations, accrual/provisions calculations, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process, Monitor and control cash flow, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns and other local tax relevant topics
- Ensuring compliance with Romanian tax regulations and supportingVAT,corporate tax and SAF-T filings.
- Accounts Receivable & Dunning Process
- Maintaining the sales ledger, reviewing credit limits, and posting payments
- Monitoring e-invoices issued
- Executing the dunning process and making decisions on customer account holds
- Support in debt collection management
- Collaboration
- Close cooperation with the Sales Controlling Department in Germany
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Close cooperation with third party providers (e.g. external tax advisors, auditors)
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of local Romanian accounting standards
- Solid knowledge of tax regulations
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Solid educational background in finance or accounting
- Proficiency in SAP FI/CO module
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (XLS)
- Basic understanding of SAF-T reporting is an advantage
