Client

Our client is number 1 in Europe on the DIY market and number 3 worldwide. It currently owns 21 stores in 15 cities.

Role

Ensure the maintenance of the company’s general ledger and accuracy of accounting records, procedures and daily supervision on compliance of the local requirements and group reporting standards

Responsibilities

Receive, verify and record the invoices for fixed assets and inventory items from suppliers according to the legislative provisions in force and allocating them to cost centers and pre-established projects;
Allocate the fixed assets by categories according to the legislation in force;
You will be responsible for the registration and accounting processes of fixed assets (capitalization/transfer/withdrawals) in accordance with the supporting documentation;
Monitor and update the fixed assets register;
Issue, when necessary, invoices for the sale of fixed assets according to the legislation in force and internal procedures;
Verify the accounting records and account sheets in the area of responsibility;
Provide support to other departments / colleagues in stores for issues related to the fixed assets/inventory items area;
Participate in the preparation of month-end closing works;
Participate in the preparation of the financial year-end closing works and provide support in the preparation of statements for internal and external audits;
Participate in the preparation of documents for the evaluation of heritage buildings, annual inventory of the fixed assets.
Provide reports, statements, accounting analyses at the request of other departments or the hierarchical head;
Provide support in the preparation and transmission of statements for the DGITL and mayors;
You will archive accounting documents in the area of responsibility;
Provide support in the development of accounting systems, programs and procedures adapted to the needs of the company;
Support for the manager in adapting accounting processes according to the legislation in force.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position;

Higher education in the financial-accounting field;
Intermediate Excel knowledge;
Knowledge of G-suite is a plus;
Knowledge of legislation in the field;
Knowledge of Oracle FA module is an advantage;
SAP knowledge is an advantage;
Attention to details and good organization, responsibility and seriousness;
Easy adaptability to new things and good communication skills;
English – intermediate level;
