Role
In your role as Data Engineer, you are responsible for the central Data Platform based on Informatica IDMC including the utilized Azure Services. You will support the internal departments during the requirements engineering phase, research the best solutions, including the cost aspects (implementation and running costs), implementation of the new services, optimize existing services. The support of the platform will be run by a partner.

Responsibilities
- Implementation of new data driven use cases: requirements engineering, coordination with various departments and external partners
- Data and database design
- Analyzing new functionalities inside the Informatica IDMC platform, Azure Services and surrounding services
- Utilizing Atlassian (Jira and Confluence)
- Maintenance of the existing data processes
- Key user for the data management platform
- Technical support of all parts of the platform
Requirements
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or comparable and at least two years of experience as data engineer
- Team player
- Good experience in end-to-end data processing (ETL/ELT)
- Good experience in Database design and administration (Azure SQL, MS SQL, Oracle, Db2)
- Good experience in API development (Java, Node.js, TypeScript, …)
- Highly interested in new technologies
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Full professional proficiency in written and spoken fluency in English, other languages would be a plus
- A plus would be knowledge with: Informatica (IDMC, CDQ, Power Center…), Azure (DevOps, Data Factory, Databricks, DataLake, …), non rational database skills e.g., NoSQL
