Role
As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a decisive role in consolidating and growing the business, mainly in the area of cybersecurity services and solutions.
You will be part of the construction and development of a Security Operations Center – “SOC” – through which our client provides specific services to improve the cybersecurity posture of its clients’ and partners’ organizations.
It is a (technical) construction role, with real potential for growth and development (personal and organizational).
You will thus contribute – through individual and team performance – directly and significantly to the implementation of our client’s strategy and company priorities.
Responsibilities
- SOC Design and Implementation: participation in a team that will design and implement the architecture of a SOC, starting from the selection and configuration of the necessary tools and technologies, as well as the description of the services.
- Monitoring and Analysis: development and implementation of continuous security monitoring processes, analysis, investigation of Cybersecurity incidents and response to them.
- Policies and Procedures: creation and maintenance of security policies, procedures and standards, in terms of content and compliance with sector regulations and the general legislative framework in the field, as well as from the perspective of applicability, for the efficient functioning of the SOC.
- Training and awareness: delivering training sessions to the future SOC team and other categories of employees with relevant roles, aiming to improve specific competencies and the ability to respond to cyber threats for the company’s customers
- Evaluation and continuous improvement: periodically assessing the effectiveness of the SOC, identifying and implementing appropriate ways and solutions to improve specific processes and deliverables.
• Reporting and documentation: providing the necessary structure for reporting SOC activities (e.g., Security Incident Reports, periodic reports to customers)
• Collaboration: creating the right context and working closely with other internal and external teams to ensure an integrated approach to cybersecurity activities and actions. Cooperating and directly contributing to the definition of the characteristics and capabilities of the services offered through the SOC
Requirements
Cyber Security and SOC management skills; in-depth knowledge and proven skills in practice about SOC technologies and processes (EPP/EDR/XDR/NDR/Open XDR/SIEM etc)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on operating and managing activities within a SOC
Experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
Planning & organizational skills
Analytical & critical thinking – able to manage and analyse complex data and information contexts, to use
critical thinking appropriately and to design conclusions that have impact and efficiency
Very good communication & presentations skills
Initiative, integrity & focused on results
English – fluent (speaking & writing)
Training and certifications relevant to the activities of a SOC are considered a plus.
