Role
As a Collibra Expert, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Collibra Data Governance platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and data stewards, to ensure the effective governance of enterprise data, support data cataloguing efforts, and enhance overall data management capabilities
Key responsibilities
- Data Governance Framework
- Data Governance model: build tailored data governance models, including policies and data ownership for and with different data domains’ teams.
- Policies and standards: establish and enforce clear data quality standards and governance policies, considering compliance and data security, using Collibra.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: closely work with data stewards, business analysts, and IT teams to understand data needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices are embedded across the organization.
- Collibra Implementation
- Collibra as the standard: support in setting Collibra as the standard data governance tool across teams
- Technical setup: lead the setup and management of business glossaries, reference data, data lineage, and domain structures in Collibra.
- Data ownership: identify, clarify, and implement data ownership within Collibra and ensure enforcement of governance policies accordingly.
- Data Cataloguing: create, maintain, and manage data catalogues of specific data domains, working with business units to ensure accurate and up-to-date metadata documentation.
- Collibra Workflows: develop and maintain the needed Collibra workflows (data stewardship approvals, change requests, etc) to streamline data governance processes and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Data Lineage: map data flows across systems to ensure end to end traceability and transparency across data sets.
- Data Integration: support integration efforts between Collibra and other key enterprise systems (e.g., Snowflake).
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in data governance and proactively suggest improvements.
- Training & Support
- Provide training and ongoing support to data users, ensuring the effective use of the Collibra platform for data governance activities.
What do we expect?
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
You have proven experience with the Collibra Data Governance platform (minimum 3 years). Collibra certification (e.g., Collibra Ranger or Collibra Architect) is a plus.
You have a strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management principles.
You have hands-on experience in Collibra implementation, configuration, and workflow management.
You have a good understanding of data modelling and data governance tools beyond Collibra, and are experienced with data integration tools and platforms such as ETL, APIs, etc.
You are familiar with metadata management, data cataloguing, and business glossaries.
You have a high-level understanding of data warehousing (eg. Snowflake)
You have knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA.
You have excellent problem-solving skills and are able to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
You are a strong communicator with the ability to translate technical requirements into business-friendly language.
You have experience working in agile, iterative design environments.
You work hard to understand the details of your client’s context. You can easily shift between a high-level helicopter view and a deep dive into specific topics.
You are fluent in English.
