Client

Our client creates innovative, user-friendly and modern applications that make lotto accessible to everyone. They truly believe that dreaming and hoping together through lotto empowers life — and now they’re building a brand-new team in Romania.

Role

As (Senior) Performance Marketing Manager your mission will be to scale company’s user acquisition engine across paid channels—including Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, DSPs, Apple Search Ads, CTV/LTV, and emerging platforms—as well as ASO. As our Scanner continues its rapid growth and our paid budgets expand, you will partner with the existing Performance Marketing team to drive day-to-day campaign management, creative testing, reporting, tracking, and channel optimization. Your ultimate goal will be to lower CAC, build a robust, high-velocity creative-testing muscle, and unlock and scale entirely new acquisition channels.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Daily campaign management on owned channels (Meta, ASA, Google Ads, TikTok) — bid optimisation, budget pacing, audience and placement testing
  • Creative testing — work with the creative team to brief, ship and iterate ad creative; document learnings
  • Performance reporting — weekly dashboards, monthly deep-dives, channel-level CAC, ROAS, Conversion Rates and quality-of-acquisition metrics (e.g. Payback period & Retention Rate)
  • Channel testing — design and run structured pilots on new channels with proper measurement and stop/scale decisions
  • Tactical coordination with our external partners on CTV/LTV/programmatic execution — briefs, weekly check-ins, creative reviews
  • Attribution + tooling — keep our MMP setup clean (Adjust), work with our data team to understand, analyze data and MMM
  • Cross-team coordination with organic Social Media, Brand, CRM, and Creative
  • Stay close to compliance (German lottery regulation / GlüStV,GGL) — work within paid-marketing guardrails specific to lotteries

Your Key Competencies

Must have:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on paid user acquisition or performance marketing for a B2C app or consumer product
  • Deep platform expertise on at least 2 of: Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Ads, Apple Search Ads.
  • Familiarity with programmatic display / DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk, etc.)
  • Hands-on creative testing experience — you can brief creative, design A/B structures, read results and iterate
  • Strong attribution and data literacy — working knowledge of MMPs and attribution (Adjust, AppsFlyer, Branch), iOS/Android tracking, SKAN, event mapping. You love to work with data!
  • Analytics fluency — comfortable with dashboards, GA4, Adjust or similar, spreadsheet modelling; can build clean dashboards
  • Demonstrated track record of lowering CAC at scale with documented case studies
  • Fluent English (working language). German is a plus, not a requirement.

Nice to have

  • Experience scaling a consumer app through paid
  • Web-to-app experience is a plus
  • Experience in regulated industries (lottery, fintech, gambling, gaming)
  • Experience with CTV/LTV paid (Joyn, RTL+, Waipu)
  • Familiarity with MMM, incrementality testing, geo-lift experiments
  • Influencer-paid or affiliate marketing background
  • Experience working with a media agency partner

Your soft skills

  • Ownership mindset — take responsibility for channel performance end-to-end, don’t wait for instructions
  • Detail-oriented + data-driven — make decisions on evidence, not gut; check the numbers twice
  • Curious experimenter — always testing, always learning, comfortable with structured failure
  • Collaborative — work closely with creative, brand, social, CRM, data, and the partners
  • Resilient under change — ad platforms shift constantly (iOS privacy, algorithm updates); rolls with it without losing momentum
  • Strong communicator — explain paid performance clearly to non-paid people; don’t hide behind jargon
  • Comfortable with startup ambiguity — fast pace, lean processes, evolving priorities

Your goals / impact in this role ( 6-12 months)

  • Take full ownership of channels day-to-day (e.g. Meta, Apple Search Ads, Google Ads) — daily optimisation, creative briefing, budget pacing, performance reporting
  • Drive measurable CAC improvement vs current baseline on owned channels (specific % target to be set after month 1)
  • Build a creative testing framework — structured A/B testing on Meta and TikTok with proper learnings documentation, accelerating creative iteration
  • Set up proper attribution and reporting infrastructure — dashboards that replace ad-hoc reporting; clean data flow from MMP (Adjust) into a single source of truth
  • Test at least 2 new channels through structured pilots (e.g. native ads, DSPs for niche segments) with clear go/no-go decisions at the end
  • Take coordination of the agency relationships on tactical execution (briefs, weekly reviews, creative reviews)

Your Background – Education & Experience

  • 5–8+ years in marketing analytics, performance strategy, growth analytics, or consulting
  • Experience in fast-moving environments (scale-up or comparable pace)
  • Degree in business/economics/marketing/analytics or comparable
